Chinese artists are interested in creating works of art as a series. Typical Chinese painting series include the “Four Season series,” “Four Gentlemen series,” etc. Artists usually create series with paintings of the same size and same theme. While series can either have a similar painting style or a completely opposing style, the most important element of a series is harmony. Series provide the artist a full range of power to portray the ideal situation in his mind.
